1st Competition

Yesterday was Kylee's first competition and she did fantastic. We are very proud of her and all of her hard work. We (ok me) didn't realize how hard competitions are. First I had to get everything ready the night before, then had to wake up at 5:30 to get myself ready then wake Kylee up at 6:00 then leave the house at 7:00 to be in Plain City by 8:00. The competition started at 9:00. Kylee's first performance was at 9:30 and it was the Bop to the Top. (sorry the pictures are not the best, I need to spend the money and get a great camera) We didn't win any awards for this dance. :(


In between the dances we got to watch all of the other dancers do their thing. WOW those kids are amazing and the dances are so creative. Both Tim and I really wanted to take little naps, but it was really hard with all the cheering. Then 11:45 came around and Kylee was back on in her pretty blue dress. I don't know the name to this song. They won 1st place for this lyrical dance!!!! Way to go Kylee and Minni's.

Sorry again for the blurry Pictures. Kylee looks so pretty, even with all the make-up that is "REQUIRED" Let me tell you Tim did not like this one bit. She looks all grown up.

Next was Hip Hop Sake your Money Maker (I think) at 12:30 this has a mix of the Minni's and the other girls I always forget their name. The team just above Kylee. This one they won 2nd place!!! They did very well for half of the team never competing before. I didn't get one good picture of this dance. Dang it. Hopefully next time.

This is Amanda (Kylee's best friend at dance), Kylee, Violet(one of Kylee's Hip Hop coach's), Camille(the other Hip Hop coach), Nicole (the studio owner) and Kim (the Minni's coach) They have done such a great job with these girls.

This is the Minni's some of them you can't see and I can't even tell you all of their names, but look how pretty Kylee looks and that trophy!! Good Job Girls!

And this is Kylee and her trophy she get to take home to remember her two wins for her first competition. Good Job Kylee we are so proud of you! Our little Dancing Queen!

Well I do have to say that they defiantly deserve every award they got. After a six hour wait to dance three dances and then a very very long award ceremony. We finally left Plain City at 4:00. On the way home Kylee took a well deserved nap and slept very well last night. I have to say I slept well also. Now we get to do it all over May 2. You are all welcome to come. It is at Kearns High School I don't know the time yet, but I would have to guess it will be about the same time. Hopefully this competition things get easier. Well Kylee didn't think it was hard at all. She was just having a really good time running around a big school with her friends, while Tim and I sat and did nothing.
