Dixie 2009/St.George

Kylee had her first competition of this year. So we headed down to warm St. George!

After their first two dances all the dancers got to go dance in the middle of the dance. It was cool they had a song that told you what to do!

The crowd was going crazy. Everyone just loved this dance!

Half way through the dance they unzip there hoodies, its so cool they turn around so that their back is to the audience then they turn back around and you can see their faces.

She had such a great time at the competition and at the hotel with all of the girls! I sure am glad all the other competitions are closer to home.




Here she is with her medallion she won! They got first place for ALL dances. Way to go. I knew all of her hard work and time would pay off. I am so proud of her. She has found something that she loves and she is 100% dedicated to!


After the competition they deserved to rest and do a little swimming.

Vegas Baby!

After Kylee's Dance Competition in St. George we thought we were just to close to not go to Vegas. I have never been on the strip and neither has Ky. This was a perfect opportunity to go. So a way we went.

We parked at Treasure Island and then headed south to MGM.

We then went in Ceasers Palace to see the moving statues and got LOST for I swear what felt like forever.

They scared Kylee at first then she started to like them. (or was it because I had the camera out)

Then over to The Bellagio, which apparently the fountains don't come on until 5. We are thinking it just must be the off season or something.

Then we just kind of wondered down the strip and went into the Coke and M&M factory's.

Then off to see the Lions at MGM

They just laid around we didn't even see them move. At first my mom thought they were fake until one moved it ear and that is all we seen them move.

I do like the fact that they are only suck in there for once or twice a week for about 5 hours at a time.

After that we needed to get back on the road to head home and we were all tired so we took a double decker bus and I wasn't sure if we would get off of it alive. But I did get a few cool pictures while on the road to death. That bus driver must learn how to drive better.

We had so much fun. I can't wait to go back and spend a few days so we can see everything. Thanks for going with us mom it made the trip so much better!!!! Love ya~!

Spring is just around the corner...

And that means lots of cleaning. It seams like that is all I have been doing lately. We have new carpet in the living room and in Kylee's room, Yay! This weekend I will be painting her room.

This is the cute new bed set I ordered for Kylee and I was thinking of painting her room sky blue and she loved the idea til this morning. So I need to give her some more colors to choose from. Any idea's I am not good at this. HELP.

We have also got our new couches. When I ordered them I thought I was getting the light color, but then when I looked at the receipt it showed the dark color so I emailed a picture to Tim and he said they would be to dark I really like the dark one but I also liked the lighter one, I really didn't care. So I called the sells men assured me that they would be the light ones. When I got home yesterday I found...

I was really worried that Tim wouldn't like the dark one and I thought CRAP what am I going to do? So Tim and I set it up in the living room and he decided he really liked FEW!!!! Our house is all coming together again!!!

We were waiting for my mom to come pick us up to go to Gardiner Village to look at all the witches they had put all around. Ky's hair looks so cute, and of course had the camera with me and I decided to take a few pictures. I love this one of her.

This is what I did this weekend!!! Tim went out of town and I had it in my head that I was going to get a new couch with or with out him, so I did it with out him. Thank goodness for my Mom and Bob.

We have needed a new couch for about 5 years. The couch we have now was Tim's moms and it is about 15-20 years old. Its leather so it still looks really nice, but the recliners are broken and the frame is starting to fall apart so we (I) broke down and got a couch and love seat! I am so excited to get it. I have to wait until March 18th :( but I have waited this long I can go three more weeks!
