Science Girl

Kylee has had 3 days of 4th grade is already in LOVE with science. She came home the first day and said she thinks that she will like science. Then yesterday she was liking it more. Then today Oh my gosh. I have a little science lover on my hands. They did an experiment today and she loved every minute of it!!! I don't think I have every seen her so excited about a subject like this before. I love seeing her this way and about science non the less. Way to go Ky!!

4th Grade, Could it be?

Kylee started 4th grade this morning. It was bitter sweet for me. I love to watch her grow and learn so many new things, but I wish she could stay my little Miss Moo forever.

She was so excited to go back and see who her teacher was and to see all of her friends. I don't think she liked me being there. But I have been waiting until she goes into the class room from the very first day of Kindergarten so she will just have to get used to it. I know she will have alot of adventures this year and I can't wait to watch her grow with them. Kylee Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and love you with all our hearts!

Soap Stone 2008

This past weekend was the Finn Family Reunion. We decided we weren't able to go. So we decided to go somewhere close and have some fun instead of be all sad that we couldn't go. We went to Soap Stone campground up behind Kamas Utah. We have been coming here for years. I think the first time I came up here I was 16 years old. It is so pretty up here and the weather is always so nice. We camp for a few days, but while we are up there we got to the Provo River falls a few miles up the canyon form our camp ground.

This year was alittle hard. We weren't sure if we were going to make it anywhere. Bob as most of you know is a truck driver and is gone for a few days at a time this summer I think I have seen him once or twice he has been gone so much. But he was suppose to be home Thursday so that we could leave Friday morning. Well that didn't happen so we had Tim drive the trailer up there and then he turned around and went back to an empty house. (isn't he sweet) So for the first night we were all by our self's, my mom , Kylee and my two nieces Kenzie and Hailey, and my self. Well it was a little rough start. The batteries died on us so we were in the dark. Its a good thing my mom had this cool little light. We couldn't get the fridge to work or the stove so we thought the propane tanks were empty so Friday morning we took one them off and headed back to town to get it filled up, well it was full. So then we went to the store to get some ice and a cooler to put our food into until Bob got there. Well when we got back to camp we got the stove working but still couldn't figure out the fridge oh well we are women and can figure things out.

Bob finally arrived and started the fridge and the water heater. He brought up the generator!!! Thank goodness! Then everything went well.

Friday morning my mom was going to the bathroom and seen two moose, and came running back. They had moved but we followed them a little bit and then one came out in the road. He is a little hard to see here, but they were very big!

While we were waiting for Bob we went to the falls. They are so pretty.
While we were here we seen about 20 shirt less boys walking down the falls. They must of been the Boy Scouts or something. We all thought they were crazy the falls were raging. While we watch them we watched one fall down one of the falls. He was very lucky, he was able to get up (with help) my mom thought he broke his wrist. Like I said VERY LUCKY.The water was SO cold. But so prettyI have so many pictures of Kylee standing right here from years past. I think I am going to have to scan them and post some past pictures of this girl!

S'More time. No one really likes them, but it is a must when camping so we just roast the marshmallows and my mom and Bob ate a few then we put the rest in the fire!

Saturday we went back to the falls with Bob! It was cold and rainy The Family, minus some ok alot! Mom, Ky and me. I think everyone got sick of all the pictures, but guess what... That's what I do. While we were here the girls when on all the trails and made a map of them. The had so much fun exploring the forest. This was Haileys first time camping and I think she loved it. "Kylee, I didn't think it was going to be this fun"

When Kylee was about 2 we took a picture of her on this same tree so I had to get another one. I will post that picture tomorrow so look back to see how much she has grown. Its kind of sad.

Our camp ground is so close to the Provo River! We could walk to it from out camp site. They are seriously goofy! They had so much fun throwing rock in the river. SO PRETTY. I could stay up here forever!

Saturday night we had Hobo Dinners, once again you can't go camping without having hobo dinners. They are the best!

... A Kitchen?

Still needs a counter top we are going to put granite 12x12's here. The cabinets are staggered so we could do a normal counter top. But we have found the 12x12's to match our other counter top!

We are so close to having this HUGE project done. All we have left are the base boards, sanding and staining the floors and we are still missing one cabinet. Then we just need the other counter top. And a new microwave to go above the stone!!! I can't wait for it to be done. It will be so beautiful! I might actually like to cook when I have this nice of a kitchen!

Kylee had 3 pretty hard days last week. It was try out time. It started Wednesday night and ended Saturday morning at the actual try outs. It all started with workshops for 3 days straight then an hour on Saturday to see where she would place. Then about 5:00 Saturday evening we went to see which team she would be on! And she is no longer a mini she is now on the excel team. I am so proud of her and I can't tell you how proud she is of her self and she has every right to be. Congratulations Kylee!
