24th of July!

When I was a kid this day was just as big to my family as the 4th was! My aunt Susan and uncle Don and their kids would go find a spot along the parade route the night before and they would camp out in their motor home then the rest of the family would join them in the morning to all watch the parade together. That was when they would throw candy to the crowds. I remember it being so much fun. I also remember having to walk for which seemed like forever to get to their spot. But it that was just the way it was. There were always a million people there. I am trying to bring back some of the things I did as a child so that Kylee would have the same wonderful memories! So Thursday morning we woke up about 6 to get to my moms by 7 so that we could find a spot. We found a pretty good one in the shade. Then about 9 it wasn't in the shade anymore, but we still had fun. My mom bought Kylee and Keltsie water bottles so they could spray them self's and say cool. But they ended up spray the people in the parade. It was so funny to watch people wondering where it came from, then other people loved it and asked for more! The kids had a blast. I remember it being a lot more fun. But that is kind of how alot of things work out! I had fun watching Kylee enjoy it!

Family BBQ Time

My Grandma has been very sick. She spent a month in the hospital. We still don't know what it is she has. We have been told that it could be several things, but nothing that is absolute. While grandma was in the hospital I told Kylee that once she got out we would have a big family party to celebrate her coming home. So Jen and I got together and planned this party. We had a BBQ unfortunately grandma is still on her feeding tube so she wasn't able to eat. I know she really just like watching her family being together. Our family used to do and go everywhere together. But life happens and we all get busy. Grandma and Grandpa. Kylee really is sick of me taking pictures. She should just be used to it by now. Sense I worked at Kiddie Kandids I have always been a big picture taker. But no she had to hide from me.

My cousin Darren making faces behind grandma while she is trying to leave. He is the big joker of the family. I walked away from this party with a wet but! Thanks Darrin! Thanks to everyone who was able to come I know it meant alot to G and G. We will have to do it again once grandma gets her feeding tube out.

My Mom

My mom is my best friend. She has always been there for me! Sense I can remember she has tried her hardest to be the best mom ever and when I was growing up I knew that there was something special inside of her. And to this day that something is still there. She is the most caring, thoughtful and loved person I know. I know alot of people that would tell you the same thing about her. I am just SO lucky to have her as my mom and Kylee's grandma.

My mom worked like three jobs when I was growing up, but some how she managed to always be there for her kids. She was always there to cook dinner and to get us up for school. I am the mom I am today because of my her. She is the most amazing person I know.

Mom I love you with all my heart and thank you so much for all you do for me and my family.

Mr. Robert Anderson

So a friend of mine did a entry on her blog. (yes, I like to still every ones idea's SORRY) It was called Flash back Friday. So here I am doing a flash back Friday.

I was probably about the same age as Kylee (9) when Robert Anderson came into my life. He was so much fun to be with and he let me get away with anything and everything. He HAD long black hair, tall and he was (ok still is just don't tell him) funny. Oh he would make me laugh. He would tickle me to death, then I would get mad at him yell at him and turn right back and around and mess with him until he tickled me again. He always colored with me, played with me non stop even when he came over to see my mom. Really I am sure he was coming to play with this cute and just plain adorable girl. So one memory is sticking out at me today. Like I said he HAD long black hair. He would sit on the couch and I would sit on the back of couch (I can't believe my mom let me do that) and comb his hair and put it in pony tails and beret's. He would sit there for hours and hours and let me just play with his hair.

He is such a wonderful Grandpa to Kylee. He is the same with her as he was with me and I am thankful for that. (even though I think she doesn't like it as much as I did) Kylee loves her Grandpa so much. She used to call him poppie.

It has been 18 years (holy crap) since this man walked into my life and I want to thank Bob for being such a big part of my life today. I truly believe that if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be the person I am today. I also know how happy he makes my mom and I want to thank him for that! She deserves everything in the world! I love you Bob!

Who says you need a kitchen!

Tim and I have been wanting to redo our kitchen FOREVER but couldn't afford to do what we really wanted to do. Well we still can't afford to do it, but here we are! This is my new kitchen! Don't you love it!Under the window is where my sink was and on the other wall was my stoveThis used to be my pantry and my stove.Where am I going to put all this food?!?!?!?Again my sink, that is non existent.I don't think Tim knows that a stove and dishwasher don't going in the living room! YIKES Ok so he found the right place for my dishwasher. Look at those pretty cabinets.
My sweaty stinky husband. I do need to tell him Thank you for working so hard to give me the perfect kitchen. I guess this means I will have to cook more!
My new hardwood floor. I had tile and hardwood floor before, Tim took out the tile and replaced it with hardwood. He will resand it and stain it to match!
He moved the fridge into my pantry so that we will have a more open kitchen.
More pretty cabinets.
This where my fridge used to be. Now I have more cabinets and more counter space!!! Yes more cooking will be in store. (for a little while anyway) I can't wait to post pictures of the finished project. Then he will be off to the new project!

4th of July Fun!

July is such a fun month. There is so much going on. BBQs, Carnivals, Swimming, Days at the lake, Camping trips, Fire works the list just goes on and on. So far this month has been hot and exciting.

Thursday night Kylee and I went with some of our friends to Granite High for a carnival. They had all kinds of fun stuff and an AMAZING fire work display (which my camera died just in time for)

July 4th!

We went to our friends Krista and Brandon's house they live two housed down from us. We ate, drank and played! It was a blast!

I love fire works even though really you are just burning money, but they are SOOO much fun to sit back and watch!

It is a sad sad day at Van Cott today. It is my boss Vickie's last day. She has been one of the best supervisors I have ever had. Vickie if you read this please know that I will miss you!

Thanks for all you have done for me here. You stood by my side during all of the changes I made and knew that they were for the best even when no one else wasn't sure! You believed in me and that is why I have been able to make the changes with 100% confidence.
