Nutcracker (a little late)

Caitlin just emailed me this pic. This is when we went to the Nut Cracker. It was the first for both Kylee and I. Kylee loved watching all the dancing.

Hunting for Eggs

This is the 3rd year we have gone to the Workman family annual Easter egg hunt. Kylee loves going. They hide a TON of eggs and they always put YUMMY things inside. Kylee like knowing her other side of the family. Even though we don't get to see them alot she always gets excited when we do go.

Name

I was laying in bed last night thinking of how Kylee got her name, and thought it would be fun to post it. I would have to say it was one of the hardest things to do. There were so many things to consider. 1st Tim wanted her to be named after his mom. He didn't care if it was her first name or her middle name just that Connie had to be there some where. So that was hard finding something that went with Connie.

Then we didn't like any of the same names. Until we came across McKenzie. We both LOVED this name, but come to find out Tim's brother had just named their little girl that. At that time he never seen his brother so I told him it didn't matter. But Tim just didn't feel right about it. So then we had a few more we liked our first was Hailey Connie, then Connie Nicole and last was Kylee Connie.

After Kylee was born and they put her on my stomach my mom asked her if her name was Hailey, she made a funny face (sticking out her tongue) and then made a funny noise. She didn't like that one. So then it was down to Connie Nicole (we would have called her Nicole) and Kylee Connie. I really like Kylee because my middle name is Lee. So that put a little bit of mine in there also. Tim didn't care either way he really liked both of them so we went with Kylee.

About 4 years later Tim's brother had another little girl and named her Hailey. They are some cute little girls!! We love them to pieces.

Kylee fit her very well! We are very happy with our decision. And that is how Kylee got her name.

Lots has happened.

Well alot has happened since I blogged last.

First thing is that Buddy Bud got ran over on Monday 3/3/08. It has been really hard on Kylee and myself. It has been the hardest on Kylee of course. He was her little Buddy. It has been hard seeing my babies heart break. I never want to see her go through anything like this again.

Then yesterday she got her cursive license, which means that she can write in cursive all the time and on all of her work at school and home!! She passed the test the first time she was one out of six in her class!

Then today she got her report card and received her first set of straight A's. I can not tell you how proud I am of this kid. She is so smart. I can't believe how incredible she is. She gives me so much happiness in my life. I couldn't image my life with out my daughter and my husband.

Birthday Weekend!!!

Thursday was my birthday and Friday was Tim's. This has always been kinda weird to have our birthdays an hour apart! So I was hoping/asked for an I-Pod. When Kylee brought me my present it was too big of a box for an I-Pod and I was disappointed, but Tim always does good gifts so I thought he must of found something better. so I opened it and at first all I could see was a person on a motorcycle I was not very happy. Tim has been talking about getting me a four wheeler and I don't want one. so I thought "what has he done" then I realised that it was the box to the battery he just got for his four wheeler, then there was a smaller box inside (an I-Pod sized box) YA!!! I got the cute purple one! Then Tim took me to Texas Road House, YUMMY. Our waitress was flirting with Tim and he was loving every minute of it. She got what she wanted out of him. A big tip.

Tim has always been really hard to buy for, but this year I had the perfect idea, Seat covers for his truck and shoes. I ordered them online. What a story that is... so I ordered them and pay way too much but its Tim and he's worth every dime. then I get them and realize that I have ordered 4 covers. 2 per box. stupid website didn't say that. so then we have to take back a box not a problem. Tim goes to put them on and they don't even fit. To make this story better his shoes don't fit! So I thought I was doing good. Not so much. So I took him to dinner and a movie to make up for it.

Saturday, We go to Cabela's to return the 4 seat covers, to get him some gaiters (don't really know what these are) and they don't have they ones he wants, so we then go to Sportsmans, and they don't have them (of course) so we go eat at a really good Mexican restaurant we found. Then go exchange his shoes for the right size (you would think that a wife would know the size of her husbands feet) (apparently not this one) and guess what they don't have his size, but the other store does. At this point Tim is so done with shopping (I can't believe he did as much as he did) so I take him home and go to the other store to get his size. I get there and they are $10.00 cheaper, things are turning around!!

Sunday, I want to go to MiMi's for breakfast, so Tim gets up and tries on his new shoes and they are to skinny. Of course. so breakfast not all that great. but I convince him to go to Costco. (he is trainable)

This is how our birthday weekend went. And I think I will just start giving him money and he can do what he wants with it. But our weekend was fun!! Thanks to every one that helped make this one of the best birthdays ever!!!

Early Birthday!!

Caitlin, Codi, Rebecca, Ryan, Vickie, heather Karin and Talicia are the some of the Best friends I have ever had. Last Tuesday they all came in to my desk and surprised me with Alan Jackson tickets (row 19)!! I couldn’t believe it I was pretty much in shock all day! I love you guys!

So if I remebered the name right the band that opened for him was called Lady Anabellum. I had never heard of them, but they were pretty good.

Last night was the concert! I can not tell you how WONDERFUL it was (except the part I had to yell at a drunk chick in front of us, oh so did all of the security guards) (but that was even fun) He played our song “Red on a Rose” and of course we danced. I think the last time we slowed dance was at my senior prom and I was 8 months pregnant. I took pictures like I promised Caitlin I would. They are not the very best, but here you go. THANK YOU, YOU GUYS!!!!
